The Shri Rajendra Singh Memorial Inter-School English Debate 2025 was conducted with remarkable grandeur and academic excellence on 13 December 2025 at the multipurpose auditorium of Shri Rajendra Singh International School. Organized in the revered memory of Late Shri Rajendra Singh Ji, former Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, the event aimed to encourage intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking, and confident public speaking among young learners. The debate topic, “Online Education is Better than Traditional Schooling,” generated thoughtful discussion as students from various reputed schools participated with great enthusiasm, presenting well-structured arguments both in favour of and against the motion. Their articulate expressions, logical reasoning, and confident delivery reflected thorough preparation and a deep understanding of contemporary educational issues.
The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Ms. Aarti Jha, Principal, DPS Agra Road, Aligarh, whose inspiring words motivated the students to pursue excellence in academics and communication. The Guest of Honour, Prof. Shafe Tasleemi, Professor, Department of Mass Communication, Aligarh Muslim University, added immense value to the event with his scholarly insights. A distinguished educationist, bilingual critic, translator, columnist, and author of twelve books in English and Urdu, Prof. Tasleemi shared valuable perspectives on education, debate, and the power of expression. The competition was impartially and effectively judged by Prof. Nazreen, former Head of the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University, and Dr. Manisha Gupta, Associate Professor, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University, whose fair evaluation ensured high academic standards throughout the event.
The programme was presided over by the school Principal, Dr. I. P. Dubey, whose leadership and guidance were instrumental in the successful execution of the event. The occasion was further enriched by the presence of senior academic heads, administrative members, cultural coordinators, counsellors, and event coordinators, whose dedicated teamwork ensured seamless management and warm hospitality. Participants appreciated the modern infrastructure, disciplined arrangements, and welcoming environment provided by the host institution. Students from different schools displayed exceptional enthusiasm and competitive spirit, making the debate intellectually stimulating and engaging for the audience.
