At SRSIS, we strongly believe that education must prepare students not only for academic success but also for the real-life responsibilities they will encounter beyond the classroom. Our comprehensive fire safety drill was designed with this vision in mind. Guided by trained professionals, our students experienced a thorough, step-by-step learning session on how to identify potential fire hazards, understand different types of fire extinguishers, and use them effectively in a controlled environment.
Throughout the session, students demonstrated remarkable attentiveness as they learned to stay composed during unexpected situations. They practiced the correct method of holding, aiming, and operating an extinguisher, and also learned how teamwork, communication, and quick thinking can help prevent harm during emergencies. It was deeply encouraging to watch young learners approach every instruction with maturity, curiosity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
This activity did more than just teach them a set of skills—it instilled the values of leadership, discipline, and awareness. It helped them recognize the importance of precaution, the power of early response, and the need to remain steady and alert in challenging circumstances. Such hands-on experiences play a transformative role in shaping a child’s understanding of safety and preparedness. They walk away not only with confidence but also with the reassurance that they have the capability to protect themselves and support others if ever faced with a critical situation.
Through initiatives like these, we aim to create a school environment where learning is truly holistic—where students grow academically, emotionally, and practically. This fire safety drill stands as a testament to our commitment to nurturing responsible, well-informed individuals who can face the world with readiness, courage, and clarity.
