helping build the formative years
THOUGHT BEHIND THE CURRICULUM
The curriculum at SRSIS Primary is well aligned with NEP 2020. It takes into consideration that every child has a unique learning style and pace.
Primary School curriculum is designed to help students utilise their growing knowledge in performing complicated tasks and further develop personal, social and emotional skills. Our educators focus on creating a learning environment that’s deeply rooted in Indian traditions as well as provides an exposure of being a global citizen.

EXPERT PROGRAMS FOR ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Enhancing Socio-emotional Quotient
To meet the demands of the changing work culture and professional world and also to help cultivate a holistic personality, SRSIS introduced a new program, SEEL – Socio-Emotional and Ethical Learning. The program focuses on fostering social, emotional and ethical intelligence of the students. Modeled on the principles of His Holiness Dalai Lama, SEEL’s curriculum focuses on enhancing awareness, compassion and engagement.
From Mind-full to Mindful
To cope with the academic pressures, competitive professional world, ambiguity due to the recent pandemic, at SRSIS we introduced a weekly session of Mindfulness for our student. The teachers guide the students as they practice mindfulness techniques and also understand the theory behind it.Fostering Talents
Through the Hunar initiative, the school curriculum focuses on harnessing the natural ‘hunar’ of our students in co-scholastic activities. The school caters to a wide variety of talent clubs such as Technology Club, Photography CLub, Matheletes, Mighty Condria (Science Club), Quiz Club, Dramatics, Sports like Football, Cricket, Basketball, Astronomy, Aeromodeling,Cooking, Model UN, Literary Club, Music and Dance, Art & Sculpture, Sustainability Club, Heritage and Business and Entrepreneurs Club.SYSTEMATIC ASSESSMENT AND REPORTING
Continuous Evaluation and Assessment
At SRSIS, assessment is an important part of the education process. It helps students and teachers to evaluate the learnings so far and enhance the methodology as required. Keeping in with the guidelines of NEP 2020, Primary wing undergoes a Formative Assessment that covers both scholastic and co-scholastic aspects of the curriculum. It helps establish a roadmap for every student, and keep track of their progress, right from the beginning.
Reporting
At the end of each term, a detailed report is shared with the parents in Parent Teacher Conference. It details the child’s strengths, interests and skills. The report helps parents and teachers reflect on the individual progress of each child in cognitive, affective, socio-emotional, and psychomotor domains. In Primary wing, the evaluation report is a combination of quantitative and qualitative feedback from teachers and students’ self-assessment of their learning.
